Located just behind Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital, opened its doors in 2003 to meet the need for more spacious and comfortable pet boarding than the veterinary hospital could provide. Drs. Steve Anderson and Frank Komin initially planned to build a simple kennel, but as they heard from clients and neighbors they saw a need for something much larger and more comprehensive. The plans for a small kennel eventually grew to a 5,000-square-foot facility that offers comfortable pet boarding, Tehachapi's most-comprehensive pet supply and gift store, and complete dog and cat grooming facilities.
BOARDINGThe Lodge staff is dedicated to providing the most stress-free and enjoyable boarding experience possible, from spacious indoor-outdoor suites for dogs to large cat condos with a picture window view of the gardens. Pet owners can choose from a variety of options to personalize their pet's stay, such as extra play times, treats, personal portapotties and grooming. Owners can schedule veterinary services to be handled by Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital while they are out of town. Also, pets staying at the Lodge are under supervision of the Veterinary Hospital’s doctors and staff, so health issues that arise can be addressed immediately. What a relief to know that your animal family will be under the constant care of a well trained Veterinarian, imagine the peace of mind that brings! PET SHOP The Lodge also offers the largest selection of pet supplies available in the Tehachapi area: an extensive line of veterinarian-recommended pet foods and health supplies, plus leashes, collars, clothing, toys, and virtually anything else you could imagine your pet wanting. The Lodge also carries a complete selection of birds, reptiles, and pocket pets.
